These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Alertiva website and mobile application ("Alertiva", "Service", "we", "us", or "our").

Alertiva is intended for users who are 18 years of age or older.
By using Alertiva, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and are legally able to agree to these Terms.
2. Description of the Service
Alertiva is a safety and communication application that may provide functionality such as:
- Emergency SOS alerts
- Trusted device connections
- Secure connection codes
- Live location sharing
- Emergency contact management
- Safety check-in functionality

- Account management
Features may change, be modified, temporarily unavailable, or be discontinued as the Service develops.
3. Emergency Communication Disclaimer
Alertiva is a communication and safety-support tool. It is not an emergency response organization and does not replace emergency services.
Alertiva assists communication; it does not guarantee emergency assistance.
Alert delivery, notifications, location updates and other communication may be affected by internet connectivity, mobile networks, device settings, battery levels, operating systems, third-party infrastructure, GPS availability and other factors.
Users should contact appropriate emergency services directly when immediate professional assistance is required.
4. No Guarantee of Availability
We aim to keep Alertiva available and functional, but we do not guarantee that the Service will always be available, uninterrupted, error-free or compatible with every device or network.
Technical failures, maintenance, network problems, device limitations, third-party service failures and circumstances outside our reasonable control may affect the Service.
5. Account
Certain Alertiva features require an account.
You are responsible for providing accurate information when creating and maintaining your account.
You are also responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for activity performed through your account.
If you believe your account has been accessed without authorization, you should contact us as soon as reasonably possible.
6. Device Connections
Alertiva may allow users to connect trusted devices using the functionality provided by the Service.
You are responsible for choosing which devices and people you connect to your account.
Do not connect a device or person without appropriate authorization.
7. Location Sharing
Certain Alertiva features may use device location information.
Location information may not always be accurate, current or available.
You should not rely solely on Alertiva location information when making decisions where precise location information is critical.
8. Emergency Contacts
You are responsible for the emergency contacts you add to Alertiva.
You should ensure that the contact information you provide is accurate and that you have an appropriate basis for providing another person's information.
Alertiva does not guarantee that an emergency contact will receive, notice, respond to or act upon an alert.
9. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use Alertiva to:
- Break applicable laws or regulations
- Harass, threaten or abuse another person
- Send intentionally false emergency alerts
- Impersonate another person
- Attempt unauthorized access to accounts or systems
- Interfere with the operation of the Service
- Use the Service for fraudulent or malicious purposes
- Attempt to bypass security or access controls
10. False or Abusive Alerts
Alertiva should only be used for legitimate safety and communication purposes.
Repeated intentional misuse, fraudulent alerts, harassment or other abusive use may result in suspension or termination of access.
11. Third-Party Services
Alertiva may depend on third-party services, infrastructure or platforms for certain functionality.
These services may include hosting, databases, notification services, email delivery, maps, location services and application distribution.
Third-party services may have their own terms, policies, limitations and availability requirements.
12. Website and Mobile Application
The Alertiva website may provide information, account-related functionality, password recovery and access to other Service-related features.
The mobile application may provide functionality that is not available through the website.
Downloading or using the application may also be subject to the terms and policies of the applicable application store.
13. Intellectual Property
The Alertiva name, branding, website design, software, graphics, text and other materials associated with the Service may be protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, reverse engineer or commercially exploit parts of the Service except where permitted by applicable law or with our permission.
14. Disclaimer of Warranties
Alertiva is provided on an "as available" and "as is" basis to the extent permitted by applicable law.
We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, completely secure, error-free, continuously available or suitable for every particular purpose.
We do not guarantee the successful delivery of any particular alert, notification, location update, communication or emergency message.
15. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Alertiva and its operators shall not be responsible for losses or damages arising from your inability to use the Service, service interruptions, communication failures, inaccurate location information, delayed notifications, device failures, network failures or actions or inactions of third parties.
Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude or limit liability where such exclusion or limitation is prohibited by applicable law.
16. Suspension or Termination
We may suspend or terminate access to the Service where reasonably necessary, including in cases of misuse, abuse, security concerns, violation of these Terms or legal requirements.
You may stop using Alertiva at any time.
17. Changes to the Service
Alertiva may be updated or changed over time.
Features, functionality, technical requirements and availability may change without guaranteeing that a particular feature will remain available indefinitely.
18. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time.
Updated Terms will be published on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.
Continued use of Alertiva after an update may constitute acceptance of the revised Terms to the extent permitted by applicable law.
19. Governing Law
These Terms shall be interpreted in accordance with the applicable laws of India, subject to applicable legal requirements and jurisdictional rules.
